Once upon a time (please excuse my lack of originality), author Andrea Digiglio ran a contest. I came in second (possibly out of two entries). Part of the entry was an autobio section, which I filled out with, "I'm boring." I was challenged to write something about being boring. The criteria included at least one accounting and one military history fact. Thus the incredibly popular (with my relatives) "Vampire Holidays" series came to be.
